Description


The Department of Finance and banking was established in 1994, as one of the Departments of the former Academy of graduate studies, and thus it is one of the scientific departments of the Libyan Academy of graduate studies, which grants the high degree of " Master "in finance and banking, and thus the department is witnessing an increasing demand that exceeds its capacity, as it is impossible to accept the numbers that apply for study each semester, forcing the department to conduct a process of differentiation to select students who have obtained the highest grades. The department has contributed to meeting the development requirements and meeting the needs of the labor market of qualified financiers and bankers, as well as meeting the needs of universities and higher institutes in Libya of faculty members specialized in the field of Finance and banking.  The department has also contributed and continues to contribute to the training programs supervised by the Human Resources Development Institute of the academy, as well as to the studies, research and consultations commissioned by the Academy by public and private institutions. The members of the teaching staff of the Department participate in the organization of conferences, seminars and scientific discussions at the academy and abroad.

The department should have academic leadership in the field of Finance and banking, provide specialized consulting and disseminate knowledge locally and internationally.

Message


Work to promote the goals set by the Libyan Academy for higher studies to serve its goals and directions, and prepare cadres who combine financial and banking Sciences to meet the needs of the local market.

Goals


The Department of Finance and banking is one of the scientific departments at the school of administrative and financial sciences at the Academy, which works to achieve a number of goals that can be presented as follows:

  1. Qualifying and graduating academic and professional competencies in the field of Finance and banking capable of meeting the needs of the labor market and society.
  2. Contribute to conducting scientific and Applied Studies and research in the fields of Finance and banking in an attempt to link the department with society and its various institutions.
  3. Building bridges of cooperation and exchanging experiences with various scientific and professional bodies specialized in the fields of Finance and banking at home and abroad.
  4. Holding seminars, workshops and panel discussions on issues related to finance and banking to keep abreast of developments in this field.
